1. About these terms
These Terms of Use apply to the Verity Learners website, practice tools, learning materials and related services.
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the service.
2. Age and parental consent
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to create an account and use the service. Your parent or guardian should review these terms with you.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate and current information when creating and maintaining your account.
You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity carried out through your account. You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Accounts are personal and must not be sold, transferred or shared with others.
4. Educational service
Verity Learners provides mathematics practice, educational content, progress information and related learning tools.
We aim to provide useful and accurate educational material, but we do not guarantee any particular examination result, grade, academic improvement or outcome.
The service is intended to support learning and does not replace lessons, school requirements, professional educational advice or independent revision.
5. Plans, payments and cancelling
The Free plan gives a small number of practice questions each day. Paid plans remove the daily limit for the subject or subjects paid for. Current plans and prices are shown on the Plans page. Prices are in Singapore dollars.
Payment and renewal
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions. Payment is taken by card when you subscribe, and again on the same date each month until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to the subscription and make the payment.
Subjects
- A one-subject plan covers one subject (E-Math or A-Math) at the level in your profile, for the month you have paid for. You cannot use the other subject during that month.
- To switch subject, choose next month's subject in My Account before your renewal date. The change starts when your next month begins.
- To add the second subject during a month, you pay a further $15 straight away and can use both subjects for the rest of that month. From your next renewal, your plan becomes the both-subjects plan unless you choose one subject in My Account before the renewal date.
- The both-subjects price applies from the start of a month: when you first subscribe, or at a renewal.
- The IP plan covers IP Math only.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time in My Account. Your paid plan continues until the end of the month you have already paid for, and then your account returns to the Free plan. We do not give refunds for part of a month, except where required by law.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, your account returns to the Free plan straight away. Stripe will email the payer to update the card. Your paid plan resumes once payment succeeds.
Price and plan changes
We may change prices or plan features. We will tell existing subscribers about a price change at least 30 days before it applies to their next renewal, so they can cancel first if they wish.
Access given by Verity Learners
Verity Learners may give a paid plan without charge, for example to students in our classes. This access does not renew automatically through Stripe, and we may change or end it where reasonably necessary.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful or abusive purposes.
- Attempt to access another user's account, private information or restricted administrator features.
- Bypass access limits, security measures or technical restrictions.
- Scrape, copy, reproduce, redistribute, sell or commercially exploit our questions, answers, diagrams, software or learning materials without permission.
- Upload malicious code, unlawful material or content that infringes another person's rights.
- Interfere with the operation, security or availability of the service.
7. Your uploaded content
You remain responsible for content that you upload or submit and must have the right to use it.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, process and display that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure and improve the service.
We may remove content that violates these terms, applicable law or the rights of others.
8. Our content and intellectual property
The service, software, branding, question bank, explanations, diagrams and other materials provided by Verity Learners are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the service for your own educational purposes while your account remains authorised.
9. Service availability
We may maintain, update, change or temporarily suspend parts of the service. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
We will take reasonable steps to correct material errors and restore service where practical.
10. Suspension and termination
We may restrict, suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, the account creates a security risk, or action is required by law.
You may stop using the service at any time. You may contact us separately to request account deletion.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verity Learners will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from the use of or inability to use the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any responsibility or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. Privacy
Our collection and handling of personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with its updated effective date.
Where appropriate, we may provide additional notice of material changes. Continued use after the changes take effect means that the updated terms apply to your future use of the service.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
